Modelworks believes very strongly in the right to privacy of all our visitors and customers. When you visit our site, purchase one of our products, subscribe to one of our mailing lists or contact us in any way, you can expect that we will follow the policies stated below.

Visitors to our site

What information is collected?

When you browse our site no personal information is automatically collected. While you are browsing our pages your IP address and other variables such as browser type and operating system are logged in standard server logs (just as they are on just about every other web site you ever visit). We also use Google Analytics to collect additional log data. On some pages we may also collect additional log data and/or request additional optional information from you (e.g., comments or vote data).

We will also place a cookie on your machine when you visit modelworks.com.

How is this information used?

We use log data to measure traffic patterns at our site. Any additional information collected may be used to improve our site.

We do not sell any collected information to other companies.

Our customers

What information is collected?

When you purchase one of our products you will need to provide credit card and address information so that your credit card payment can be processed. Only the first 4 and last 4 digits of your credit card number is retained in our records. We also collect your IP address.

For your convenience, we will place a cookie on your machine that includes your order and your contact information. No credit card information is stored in the cookie.

When you request a license we collect your IP address, the date, your order number if not a trial, your email if provided and the license code. The license code does not contain any personal information.

How is this information used?

We keep customer records that include your name, postal and email address. From time to time these records will be used to notify you by email of updates and special offers.

Your email address will be used to send you your registration email. We also use this information to provide you your registration information when you have misplaced your registration information.

Any email sent to our lists will always provide a clear mechanism for you to remove yourself from future mailings.

All email correspondence is treated with strict confidence.

Protection of Children's Personal Information

Modelworks is a general audience site and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Spyware and Adware

Our software does not install any spyware or adware.

Internet access

Our software does not automatically access the Internet.

However, our software will access the Internet to fulfill your requests. Both JPad Pro and SitePad Pro will access modelworks.com when requesting a license. And JPad Pro Online and SitePad Pro Online commands will access http://www.modelworks.com. In addition our online help, known as MINDS, will also access the Internet if a URL is provided for the help path (see View/Active Help Indexes). You can also write scripts that will access the Internet. Supported protocols include FTP, HTTP, SMTP and POP.
