Updates

* JPad Pro 3.7 and SitePad Pro 1.7 updates requires build 220 or later. JPad Pro 4.0 through 5.4 and SitePad Pro 4.0 through 6.2 updates requires build 550 or later. JPad Pro 5.5 or later and SitePad Pro 6.3 or later updates require build 820 or later. For all other updates download the full distribution from the download page.

To install any Modelworks product you will need to logon your computer as an administrator if you are running Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Compatibility

We have discovered a potential problem with nVidia graphic card software which can cause excessive internal message traffic in SitePad Pro and JPad Pro. If you notice that either SitePad Pro or JPad Pro is consuming processor cycles even when you are not using them, check to see if you have nVidia's "nView Desktop Manager" turned on. When the nView Desktop Manager is enabled, it can cause the idle loop to continuously cycle.

To fix this, open the nVidia nView Desktop Manager control panel by choosing: Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> nVidia nView Desktop Manager. Then uncheck the "Enable Desktop Manager" button and click OK. If you do not see the nVidia nView Desktop Manager applet then you do not have it installed.

Note: Our products will run in the 64 bit version of Windows XP as a 32 bit application.

Critical Update: We have found a bug in builds 863 to 868 that can impact scripting Internet Explorer, particularly when using another program to automate IE. This bug can also impact users scripting the Web Browser Control (the core control used in IE).

This bug is only in builds 863 to 868 of JPad Pro International Edition, SitePad Pro and SitePad Pro 7. It does not impact JPad Pro (the standard edition). To determine if you have standard or international edition of JPad Pro check Help/About... If the build number does not include an 'i' then you have the standard edition.

This bug is fixed in build 869. After you install and run build 869 or later you will also need to run:

    regsvr32 mshtml.dll

from the command line. Running regsvr32 mshtml.dll will reset the exported interfaces back to their initial configuration. This bug will remain in your system until you run regsvr32 mshtml.dll. If you need more information please contact us.

Modelworks INdex Document Search (MINDS) engine indexes.

MINDS is the help system included with JPad Pro and SitePad Pro. It is designed to use existing documentation and there are scripts that let you build your own indexes. Indexes can be built for JavaDocs, HTML, source files, or any text based document collection. Documents can be accessed on your local machine, local network or via an URL. The UI is located in the Info '?' tab and consists of Documents, Contents, Index, Search and Favorites sub-tabs. You can also use F1 help with MINDS.

The current full install includes indexes for the IDE FAQ, IDE Tools Reference, IDE Script Reference and the JDK 6.0 API. The following indexes are available for download:

NOTE: The JDK downloads below are NOT the Java JDK/SDK from Sun. They are only MINDS index files for Sun's JDK/SDK documentation. If you need the JDK/SDK go to http://java.sun.com.

To install an index, extract the .index file(s) from the zip file and put it in your Documents folder. See the text or html file included in the zip file for more details. Then start your IDE. For details use the Help/Contents... menu and then choose usingHelp.

Flash MX

This archive includes the scripts needed to edit actionscript for Flash MX. To install download and then follow the instructions in the read_me.txt file. This add-on was contributed by Mathew Davis.

This archive includes the scripts needed to add quick access to scripts. To install download and then extract the files to the proper folders. This add-on was contributed by Miguel Angel Rojas Gonz?ez.

ASN.1 Plugin

ASN.1 plugin adds the scripts necessary to use uniGone's ASN.1 tools. To install download and then run the install script in Tools/Installer. See the Tools/ASN.1 folder for details after installing. UniGone provides a complete environment for ASN.1 users : JAVA compiler, ASN.1 IP analyzer, simulator... see uniGone for more information. This package was contributed by uniGone (bruno KONIK).

IMPORTANT: ASN.1 Tools requires JPad Pro 4.5 or SitePad Pro 4.5 build 636 or later.

Perl Tools

Perl Tools release 15 adds scripts and documents for using the Perl Development Kit (PDK), including a visual debugger. To install download and then run the install script in Tools/Installer. See the Tools/Perl folder for details after installing. This package was contributed by Rob Campbell-Wright.

IMPORTANT: Perl Tools requires JPad Pro 4.3 or SitePad Pro 4.3 build 610 or later. Version 15 is included in version 4.5 or later.

ANT

ANT is a Java XML build system. The download includes scripts that can be used to integrate ANT with JPad Pro and SitePad Pro. To install the version 1.3 scripts download and then run the install script in Tools/Installer. Thanks to Mike Abney for the version 1 release and to Andrzej Taramina, Chaeron Corporation, for the version 1.3 of the ANT build scripts. This install is included in the current releases of JPad Pro and SitePad Pro.

Perforce

Perforce scripts for SitePad Pro and JPad Pro. These scripts add support for the Perforce source control system. Thanks to Axel Wienberg.

The Jad homepage has moved. Jad is a Java decompiler that can be used to decompile Java class files.
